Quilts

My mum bought me all the bits I need to make my own quilt at christmas. As we went to see the quilt exhibition at the V&A last year and I fell in love with the idea of making my own.

Some quilts in the exhibition were family treasures that had been handed down for years and told the whole family story. Through to artists taking the idea of quilts to communicate their thoughts, such as Tracy Emine or trying to reinvent the quilt like Caren Garfen (top)

Now I just have to get round to making mine!

I think this idea would look perfect in a bathroom. A wall full for vintage and found mirrors, all different sizes. The cottage we want has just the wall for it. So fingers and toes crossed we get it.

wedding inspiration.......

Flynn and I are planning on get hitched in 2013. So I have already started scanning the internet for wedding ideas. There are so many details to consider, it feels like wedding overload! But the area I'm most excited about is not the dress...but......making the invitations!
